Emma Lange

Market Development

Emma brings deep experience in strategic partnership building as well as growing and scaling social enterprises and supporting their investment readiness. She believes that strong networks, combined with innovative and entrepreneurial solutions, generate social good in our communities. Holding a degree in International Relations and Political Science from the University of British Columbia, Emma has worked with organizations both within Canada and in the United Kingdom, including Hatch Enterprise UK, Encasa Financial, and Impact Hub London UK. Emma supports outreach to expand and deepen Boann’s relationships across the sector, and provides both group and individual support to SFIs, especially those in the earliest stages of development.

Boann is one of three wholesalers appointed through a competitive, merit-based process by the Government of Canada to invest a portion of the $755M Social Finance Fund (SFF), an initiative that seeks to accelerate the growth of Canada’s social finance market. The SFF supports charities, non-profits, social enterprises, co-operatives and other social purpose organizations (SPOs) in accessing flexible financing opportunities. Greater access to social finance through the SFF will help them grow, innovate, and enhance their social and environmental impacts.
