Invoke Digital, Propel Impact, Spring, and CIVIC were selected to lead the creation of Canada’s Social Finance Hub, following the open Request for Proposal process launched earlier this year. The Hub is funded by the Government of Canada’s Social Finance Fund (SFF) and is part of Boann’s mandate in delivering the SFF. The development of the Hub will unfold over the next several months.

As organizations embedded in the social finance sector, Propel Impact, Spring, and CIVIC each bring a proven track record in fostering awareness, education, and opportunities across Canada. Paired with Invoke Digital’s technical expertise and energy for building digital product solutions, these partners will design a Hub that serves as a catalyst for Canada’s growing social finance ecosystem.

The Social Finance Hub will be a dynamic bilingual platform connecting capital providers, intermediaries, and social purpose organizations. It will provide learning resources to shorten the curve when entering the market and also to advance your career, consolidate job opportunities across the sector, host comprehensive data all in one place so investors can get to know you better and faster, and so much more!

Boann is one of three wholesalers appointed through a competitive, merit-based process by the Government of Canada to invest a portion of the $755M Social Finance Fund (SFF), an initiative that seeks to accelerate the growth of Canada’s social finance market. The SFF supports charities, non-profits, social enterprises, co-operatives and other social purpose organizations (SPOs) in accessing flexible financing opportunities. Greater access to social finance through the SFF will help them grow, innovate, and enhance their social and environmental impacts.
