Bridging the capital gap for affordable housing

Kaléidoscope Social Impact is a charitable, non-profit organization focused on seeing and building differently since they issued their first loan in 1999. As the first community loan fund in Atlantic Canada, their mission is to empower individuals, organizations, and neighbourhoods to achieve prosperity by providing resources, knowledge, and opportunities.
New Brunswick is facing a growing shortage of affordable housing and the rental market is struggling to keep up with the increasing demand. The KSI Social Impact Fund addresses this challenge by providing early stage, accessible and nimble financing to non-profit developers ensuring projects move forward as they await government grants and loans.
Through this catalytic investment in the KSI Social Impact Fund, Boann is increasing access to capital for social enterprises building affordable housing in New Brunswick. Kaléidoscope has years of experience in lending and understands affordable housing development. They have demonstrated that even with limited capital, they can leverage significant projects in New Brunswick. Boann’s goal with this investment in the KSI Social Impact Fund is to help them raise more, so they can do more.
