Promoting health and sustainability in the food and agricultural sector

InvestEco

InvestEco was formed to partner with innovative companies that are working to build a healthier planet. Since founding in 2002, InvestEco has invested in over thirty companies across North America improving access to food that is healthy for people and the planet.

InvestEco’s Sustainable Food Fund IV continues InvestEco’s pioneering focus on the sustainable food industry and proven investment thesis that integrates strong returns for investors with support for companies that are making a positive impact on the world.

For InvestEco, that support includes developing a true partnership with portfolio companies, drawing on deep sector experience, a wide-ranging network and an entrepreneurial approach to business. Boann’s investment in InvestEco’s mission to champion a sustainable food industry is an extension of our own mission to nurture a sustainable social finance industry in Canada.

Boann is one of three wholesalers appointed through a competitive, merit-based process by the Government of Canada to invest a portion of the $755M Social Finance Fund (SFF), an initiative that seeks to accelerate the growth of Canada’s social finance market. The SFF supports charities, non-profits, social enterprises, co-operatives and other social purpose organizations (SPOs) in accessing flexible financing opportunities. Greater access to social finance through the SFF will help them grow, innovate, and enhance their social and environmental impacts.
