An innovative online platform connecting families with flexible, affordable, preference-based care

Thrive Impact Fund

Manitoba Possible heard from many Manitobans that they were struggling to connect with care providers for their families. To address this issue, Manitoba Possible launched the online platform Care Possible. Since launching in October 2022, Care Possible has experienced continual growth and now proudly serves over 2,000 registered users. Care Possible is a groundbreaking online technology connecting individuals and families in need of home care and respite with the right service providers to meet their needs and care requirements.

Boann and Victoria Hospital Foundation have made an impact investment in Care Possible to address the growing demand for care services across Manitoba. This transformative investment provides Manitoba Possible with the runway to scale Care Possible into a sustainable social enterprise that breaks down barriers for individuals and families in need of care. Investing in innovative solutions like Care Possible helps Boann to make a meaningful impact in the lives of Canadians while growing the social finance marketplace.

Boann is one of three wholesalers appointed through a competitive, merit-based process by the Government of Canada to invest a portion of the $755M Social Finance Fund (SFF), an initiative that seeks to accelerate the growth of Canada’s social finance market. The SFF supports charities, non-profits, social enterprises, co-operatives and other social purpose organizations (SPOs) in accessing flexible financing opportunities. Greater access to social finance through the SFF will help them grow, innovate, and enhance their social and environmental impacts.
